katiefoolery: (Devious thoughts (not just hair!))
[personal profile] katiefoolery
So what shall we do while the Americans are all off feasting at Thanksgiving?  I vote we hide LJ behind the couch cushions and look all innocent when they get back.

“LJ?  What is this LJ of which you speak?  Oh that LJ behind the couch cushions!  Yeees, I don’t know how that got there.”

But first, we’d all better practise looking incredibly innocent and blameless, otherwise I don’t think we'll be able to pull it off.

I am happy and giddy because I have made a silly icon (not the one on this post) and also because it is Bleach Day.  I do love Bleach Day and I love Bleach Exile even more for scanlating the chapters at the speed of light and filling my afternoons with Bleachy goodness.

Also (and I’ve just realised this) I haven't had a cup of tea since breakfast, which could explain my light-headed giddiness and my strange but overwhelming desire to go and put the kettle on.  Any kettle.  As long as it’s now.

In further stream-of-consciousness blogging, I must confess to having an extremely lewd story in my head as I took the bus home yesterday afternoon.  Oh yes.  Hehe.  My Timothy-of-the-heads has bet me that I won’t write it and as a punishment for his lack of faith, I have declared that not only will I write it, but I will not allow him to read it.  That will teach him.

However, this whole situation of stories in my head only served to highlight the main reason I will most likely never drive a car unless in an emergency: I just don’t want to concentrate.  I get the best ideas when sitting on the bus or the train and they’re usually so distracting that I have to whip out my handy notebook and write them down straight away.  I couldn’t do that if I was driving.  Instead, I’d be sitting there, desperately trying to remember the details so I can write them down later while at the same time trying not to kill anyone with my lack of concentration.

I just don’t have the attention span for driving, I’m afraid.

And now, I shall go and shove LJ down behind my couch cushions before the Americans get back...

I find driving to be the best place to run dialogue!

as long as you don't mind everyone else seeing you talking to yourself :p

"I have declared that not only will I write it, but I will not allow him to read it. That will teach him." Now that had me laughing really loudly. I'm glad no one else is home. The cat's not even in this room, so she didn't even get a chance to look at me funny.

*proceeds to help Bunne stuff cushions on top of lj and then sit down*
Tanya: I wonder if there's anything on telly
Bunne: Don't know lets check
*Both proceed to sit down on top of lj*
LJ:(muffled) hey ge opf!

That is one of the down sides to public transport - if I talk to myself, then people may think I'm a little strange. But if I were driving, I seriously wouldn't be paying any attention to anything else. I'd be a danger to innocent lives!

Ack!

Er, I mean:

*looks innocent*

I hope I practised that look hard enough...

Glad I could make you laugh, good Tanya. :D

It's getting really hard to sit on this couch, though. It'd be nice if LJ would just lie down there quietly and not give the game away.

LJ: Ooh! I found a dollar!
Tanya: It's mine!
Bunne: Ack, don't give it to her! It'll turn into a toad!

Hee. A friend of mine once confessed, with a guilty sideways look, that the reason she'd been so slow to take off after the lights changed so that we'd gotten beeped was that her internal fantasy had gotten to a particularly good bit.

Hehe! That would be me, I'm afraid, sitting at the traffic lights being beeped at, totally oblivious to the whole thing.

It's just safer for everyone if I stick to public transport. :D

Bunne: Er, sorry about that.

*tries not to glance at the pile of toads in the corner of the room*

Tanya: *looks hurt*

Bunne: Here, have a dollar.

Tanya: that's better *takes dollar*

an hour later Bunne and Tanya are watching "who wants to be a piece of Gob Meck?" n Tv. Bunne is trying desparetly not to stare at the new shiny toad in the pile that looks like it has a picture of a kangaroo stamped on it's stomach.

Hee hee, the Americans will be so confuzzled.

I love driving. Normally the muses stay quiet while I'm at the wheel, but every now and then they start slipping ideas into my head, which is rather annoying. And distracting.

Aww, but driving is ace! My car is the only place I know of where I can sing as loud as is physically possible and don't get thrown out. Funny looks, yes. Physically accosted, no. All of our problems will be solved in the future, when cars are clever enough to drive themselves.
Also, Me+Writing+Transport=Sickness :(

This is why they invented voice recorders ^_~

They will indeed! I just hope [livejournal.com profile] lilly_rose hasn't gone and told the rest of them... :D

My depth-perception isn't that great either, thanks to a lazy eye that was never picked up when I was a kid. So you'd have an easily-distracted person with bad depth-perception on the roads, should it ever happen. You'd probably be considering yourself lucky you're in a different country. ;)

Ah, but I get to do that singing-as-loudly-as-possible at home (when nobody's around, of course), so I'm not missing out on too much. And it saves a lot of money, too.

Cars that drive themselves would be a fantastic invention. Someone really needs to get onto that. Soon.

Yes, indeed I am fortunate, and should I ever find myself in Australia I shall watch the roads carefully for devious buns behind wheels. ;)

Ah yes - but the problem is, I'd be distracted by whatever I was voice-recording, too.

Eh, I just don't want to drive. :P And I have a million excuses to get out of it, too.

Bleach Day is a good day :D Only i'm getting to it a bit late, but i am so glad that i am the late one, and am not waiting at the whim of scanlators while i frustrate myself with my extremely limited Japanese...

if only FMA came out so readily, i'm missing my Roy hits...

and maybe not behind the couch, but in their left shoes. They'll never find it there and it will baffle them for all eternity as they ponder the case of the LJ hidden in a left shoe....

on 2006-11-25 04:53 am (UTC)
Posted by [identity profile] katiefoolery.livejournal.com
We might have to go with the left-shoe plan, now that [livejournal.com profile] lilly_rose spotted us trying to shove LJ behind the couch cushions. Although they're probably all back now, full of turkey and whatever else they eat at Thanksgiving...

Ah, but the good thing about FMA is that you get so much! It doesn't run out just as you're getting into it.

You're just jealous because we get all the good turkeys. And mashed potatoes. And PIES. Mmmm, pie. And suchlike.

But don't worry, I ate some for you...^_^

Pah! We get plenty of good turkeys at Christmas and I'm sure we appreciate them the more for not had one just a month or so previously. :P

Thanks for eating some for me. Very thoughtful of you.

Ah, see, my family, personally, is not so foolish as to eat another silly turkey at Christmas. Instead, we have a tasty roast beast. Without Thanksgiving, we'd probably never eat a turkey, and so we appreciate bird and bovine alike. It's balanced. =P

I thought so. ^_^
