This doesn't help with remembering events, but one way I organise is with labels. Like Under my sink there are some plastic drawers, one is for batteries, one is for candles and matches, one is for glues etc. This was I cn always find batteries cos they have a designated home. All my cleaning products (which also live inder the sink) are sorted into labelled baskets eg carpet, bathroom etc. Labels.
