So why not join in?  Even though I don’t do memes.  Nope.  This is merely a figment of your collective imagination.

The Album-Cover Meme.
1) Go to a random page on wiki.
The article title is the name of your band.

2) Go to an equally random page of quotes.
The final words of the last quote on your page are the title of your album.

3) Go to a flickr feed of photos from the last seven days.
The FOURTH image on the page is your album cover. (You can choose to go to here if you prefer a more dynamic, less philosophical cover.)

4) Design your cover. Layout and presentation are up to you.

5) Post your cover, along with these instructions. In the comments your friends will tell you what kind of music you play and the name of the album’s single.

Memeage
Huzzah for TN61’s debut album, “Enemies Accumulate”!  (We won’t talk about the ill-fated EP.  It never existed.  And would the six people who actually bought it please destroy it and erase all memory of it from their minds?  Thanks.)

Now, what's our first single and what sort of music are we actually playing?

Ha! You know, I say it's an excellent name and you should go forward with it. ^___^

What indeed shall you be playing? *snickers*

I quite like the name. :D I have to admit to cheating, but seriously, the first random title that came up was "Arts towns"... and that didn't quite work.

I actually think 'Enemies Accumulate' is great name XD

I'm beginning to think every new band should choose their name and album title this way.

I think most new British indie bands do actually choose their band names this way...probably where this meme originates from. Their secret is out!

Now we know! And it all makes sense.

Man, everyone's albums are much prettier than mine. I liked my photo, but didn't put much effort into the text :P

I really like this meme. It's ridiculously awesome XD

I love memes where you have a chance to do something fun. It was just as much fun to make the album cover as it has been to make up other people's single titles. :D Where's yours, though? I'd love to see it.

Aha! Now I see it. I didn't scroll down far enough when I looked there before.

This is the best meme ever! I think your cover is brilliant.

I'm seeing emo rock, maybe along the lines of Fall Out Boy.

Your debut single "Paranoia on Parade" is loved by 15 year old kids with black asymmetrical hair who scrawl TN61 on their backpacks with black texta.

I love this meme! It's too much fun. And thanks - I had a lot of fun putting the cover together.

That sounds about right, too. Love the song title. :D

First single: "Savage Bombing". Type of music? Droning Celtic folk/Gregorian chant. :-)
I'd love to do this one too, but I lost my Photoshop 6 disk, so I can't install my Photoshop 7 upgrade... and I don't have any other graphic programs! Waaah.

Haha! That sounds about right. I love the combination of the title "Savage Bombing" and Gregorian chants.

Ack, no graphics programs?

I think it might be the flickr site, but all these album pictures make me think indie-rock, with varying degrees of emo-ness and pretentiousness. Yours looks quite credible, though, I'd definitely have a listen. I think it's kinda punky indie-rock.

(Don't ask me about song titles, I suck at that!)

I think you might be right there - there's definitely a certain quality to the images that come up on the flickr thing. Some of them have been perfect matches for the album titles, though. Probably 'cause of that slight air of pretentiousness. :D "Kinda punky indie-rock" sounds as though it could fit.

First single will be "Enemies Scatter".
I think you look like a band version of Ian Brown...but not The Stone Roses...

Well first, thanks for giving me an excuse to play with Photoshop. This was way too much fun. :D

Musics type? Heavy Metal
First single? hm.... Fear of Losing

This meme is awesome. *steals*

I bought the EP. And believe it or not, in 50 years it will be rediscovered as an unsung treasure before its time.

Every. Single. Time. I try to do that meme, the first one gives me something like "Australia women's national football (soccer) team".

I AM SO SICK OF THESE CRAP BAND NAMES ;_____;

Hehe! I have to admit to cheating a little, because the first title I got was "Arts Towns" and that just seemed a bit too obscure for me.

It really is a most excellent meme. I hardly ever do memes, but I just couldn't pass on this one. And thanks for adding me - I was just today thinking I need to find some new LJ friends and this is a good start. :D
