Miscellany

Well, I was going to say that not much is happening in my life, but it's not really true. For instance, my Timothy is still at home because the battery in our car has died and Bindi is across the road at the doctor's, because she keeps getting dizzy spells. Further to Bindi's woes, her car has blown its head gasket and the mechanic has advised her to buy a new car, rather than spending one thousand dollars on repairs.
In slightly less miserable news, I went to yet another Ober.net meet on Saturday and had a most plendiferous time discussing LorF matters with Emerald (
emerald85) and Lauren from Queensland (
lauren_hedgehog). Photos from this can be found here.
Further photographical offerings come in the form of my baby praying mantis, which is now grown up and measuring beyond ten centimetres.
It's a little hard to see much difference, but the baby was about three centimetres long and no wider than about four milimetres. The adult is three or four times the length and about 1.5 centimetres across at the base of its body.
Still incredibly creepy-looking, of course.
And finally, I am happy to report that Pickle is now adoring the header of a pet sitter's website. The person who made the site found this photo of Pickle, which I'd uploaded to stock.xchng and asked if he could use it in the header. Well, I knew it would only swell Pickle's head, but I agreed and she is now relaxing quite happily at the top of this website.
This is all for now.
