Because my cat is gorgeous
Apr. 25th, 2007 05:05 pmBecause Pickle is gorgeous. Because I almost forgot I have a camera. Because she posed in a perfect patch of sunlight. Because of that, I bring you picspam of the cat kind.
Click on the photos for larger images.
Oh, it’s just so tiring being gorgeous. Do you know how long it takes to find the perfect angle to hold your head? Or the perfect slant of sunshine? It takes a lot of work to look this good all the time.
And sometimes you have to move your entire leg. Your entire leg. That takes a lot of effort and no-one ever really appreciates it.
This is my favourite shot of them all. It’s Pickle’s favourite pose (I swear she was a model in a past life) and I thought it would look perfect in black and white. I’m so happy with how I did the black and white effect - I think it came up so well! Oh look, I forgot to try and be modest! (Please click on this one for the larger image - it looks much, much better full-size.)

on 2007-04-25 07:34 am (UTC)Thank-you - I'm so proud of my black and white one! :D I created the black and white effect in PSP by playing around with contrast and blend modes.

on 2007-04-25 07:35 am (UTC)Just be careful - she likes to show her affection by biting you. And with claws. Apparently, claws say love to Pickle.

on 2007-04-25 08:43 am (UTC)They also say "Stop moving around" and "No thanks, I'm quite comfortable on your lap and have no intention of relocating no matter how much you wiggle."

on 2007-04-25 11:33 am (UTC)I don't like the light in the top pic. Stupid flash. But it was the first time I'd had a chance to capture that hiding-behind-the-paw thing that she does. Usually she stops doing it the minute the camera comes out.
