katiefoolery: (Sail my ship!)

Please find attached a list of things that occurred over the course of my holidays.

Number of text messages received that are quite amusing when taken gratuitously out of context: one.
  • It said: OK but think naughty ;-)

  • It’s an entirely innocent comment, but it still manages to entertain me no end.

Number of times I was called a skinny cow: one.

Number of times I expected to be called a skinny cow in my entire life: zero.
  • I guess you never can tell what’s going to happen in your own life sometimes.

Number of times I had any desire to get out of bed before ten o’ clock in the morning: zero.

Number of times I did get out of bed before ten o’ clock in the morning: probably about four.

Number of times I woke up in a bad mood in the past fortnight: ten?

Number of times I’ve been irritated by a letter from the electricity company: one.
  • The letter helpfully informed me that they realised they’d made an error on our last bill and here was our new one.  Yes, they had made an error on the previous bill.  No, they wouldn’t have known about it if I hadn’t rung up and said, “Hey, I just got this discount offer from my optometrist and I was wondering if your meter reader might want it since they’re clearly having trouble making an accurate reading of our meter”.

At least give me the credit for catching your own damn mistakes, thanks very much.

Number of words written for LorF: eighty-eight.
  • A thousand or so more and I might have an entire episode...

Number of times the power went out in my carriage on the train trip back from Beechy: four.
  • I probably shouldn’t have been amused every time, but I was.  Especially when you have Vline staff staggering around in the dark, asking if anyone has a light because they can't see a damn thing.

And one for the LorFers:
Number of marshmallows I ate: none.  Not a single one.  They evaporated. :D

Uhm, yeah, gotta love utility boards, huh

Yes, it was rather interesting. And I was travelling back at night, too, so when all the power went off, everything just went completely dark.

I'm not sure about the bad moods - I'd just wake up and couldn't see any point in getting out of bed. Hoping that'll pass soon...

lol that could have made for some interesting moments, I'm sure ^_~

*hugs* I hope so, too. Especially since you're heading into Summer, miss who doesn't like the cold ^_~. Hope you have bright days ahead ^_^

It was quite unexpected, I must say. I blame the pants I was wearing at the time, really.

Okay, hand those pants over to me. Right now.

Did they really evaporate or were they inhaled? *looks suspicious*

Evaporated, the lot of them! I tried to stop it, but it was no good.

I am finding your statement a touch suspicious, Miss Katie.

An old friend once made that excuse after she ate all the fetta cheese from the salad we were all about to sit down to. "I didn't eat it....it all evaporated." :)

I am sensing a worldwide evaporation conspiracy...

Oh no! It happens to fetta cheese, too? I'd better go and make sure mine hasn't evaporated...

Who knows what'll evaporate next? Perhaps some chocolate.

I saw that powdered sugar!

Also, I am dropping by to pimp out a comm a flister is setting up that is right up your alley.

On grammar! Fandom grammar! Grammar for fic and they want people who are knowledgable and who want to write meta and stuff!

here (http://theemdash.livejournal.com/588879.html) is the relevant post.

:D

There was no powdered sugar! You saw nothing!

Oooh, a grammar comm? :D Sounds like fun.

Is that a locked entry by any chance? It tells me I am forbidden from seeing it. *woe*

WOE!

So it ees!

But I have told Em that you would most probably be interested. Because I know you would be!

And [livejournal.com profile] theemdash is loverly - how can she not be when she is named for your favourite (practically) piece of punctuation!

Huzzah, she un-locked it! It sounds like a splendid idea and I have volunteered.

*dances like a reasonably grammatically-accurate loon*
