Thursnesday
Jan. 15th, 2009 01:52 pmIt's Thursday! Again! This means it's time for my Wednesday vlog to be posted, of course. And here it is:
It's long.
I thought, when I'd finished, that I'd been talking for a couple of minutes.
"Oh yes, indeed you have," agreed Windows Media Player. "Five and a half minutes, to be exact."
FIVE. AND A HALF. MINUTES.
And then I had stuff to add at the beginning and end, of course. So it's closer to six minutes now. I'm really not sure how I managed to ramble on for that long.
Things of note: frizziness of hair. Oh, how I love this. Especially since I put stuff in it this morning that was supposed to fight this frizziness on its own terms. If there's any frizz-fighting going on, it's at a level far too subtle to be noticed by human eyes.
Also: background noises! I could not believe how many there were when I played the video back. Seriously. You can count for yourselves, but I heard: 1. computer fan, 2. random traffic outside, 3. garbage collection, 4. various types of birds, and 5. bonus aeroplane flying over at one point.
Anyway, please watch and enjoy and if you're on YouTube: SUBSCRIBE!! And let me know your username so I can friend you.

Edit: I give up.

on 2009-01-15 04:43 am (UTC)And then you should stay up all night and write. :D
Thanks for your comment on the excerpt, too. The thing I've written is sort of like a trailer for the... whatever the hell this project is going to be. So the part I read was like a small scene from the trailer. It's probably going to be the most difficult story to write because I believe the whole "project" depends on what happens in this piece.
*smites the typos*
They are devious and prone to sneak in after distracting you with shiny things. :D

on 2009-01-15 06:35 am (UTC)Writer's Distraction is a serious problem. And no-one ever seems to be able to offer advice other than Just get over yourself and write. It's advice I shold probably be following, really.

on 2009-01-15 05:19 am (UTC)I liked watching you sit there and talk like a noob ;P It's really nice to put a face, voice, and expressions to the journal entries.
Also, GET WRITING! (You have written more words that 5am walks I have undertaken, however, so you win)

on 2009-01-15 06:45 am (UTC)Thanks. :) I'm hoping to get better as I go along. Today I learnt: paper is very loud, therefore handle it sparingly.

on 2009-01-15 08:13 am (UTC)Oh, and since you said that the bit you wrote was your own writing, you must continue writing, because you've just piqued my curiosity! ^_~
(have you tried going no-poo? Helps with the frizzies... at least it does for me. Mine was much, much worse then yours is lol)

on 2009-01-15 10:26 am (UTC)Plus: I feel SO HAPPY that your word count isn't in the several thousands. It makes me feel better about mine. I'm not the only one who's still getting into the swing. Yay!
Your excerpt is so good. I am already riveted.

on 2009-01-16 01:23 am (UTC)I'm going away to visit my parents this weekend, so I'm really hoping that will give me a chance to write some more. Plus, I had a million fantastic ideas for my story on the bus and have really inspired me! But yes, it's taking a while to get going. I'm so jealous of the people who have their act together already!
